The controller responsible for processing personal data on this website is Jay-Jay, Jeremy Läderach, Rechenbühlstrasse 78, 8106 Adlikon, Switzerland. Privacy enquiries can be sent to jeremy.laederach@jay-jay.ch.
Website and server logs
When the website is opened, the browser transmits technical information required by the web server. This may include the IP address, date and time, requested page or file, referrer, browser, operating system and access status.
This information is processed in server logs so that the website can be delivered, monitored, protected against misuse and investigated when errors occur. Web hosting is provided by hosttech GmbH, Seestrasse 15a, 8805 Richterswil, Switzerland, with its server location in Switzerland.
Contact enquiries
When the form or email is used, the information submitted voluntarily is processed to review and answer the enquiry. For the form, this comprises the name, email address, selected topic and message.
Form details are delivered to Jay-Jay by email. The supplied email address is used as the reply address. An enquiry does not by itself establish a contract.
Protection against misuse
The contact form uses a hidden check field, a minimum completion time and a submission limit. For that limit, the IP address is hashed with SHA-256 and stored with submission timestamps in a protected directory outside the public web root.
The records are limited to a 15-minute window and removed during automatic cleanup. The hash is used solely to prevent repeated form submissions.
Service providers and recipients
hosttech GmbH is used for hosting, server logs and email transport. It processes data as part of the hosting and communication services it provides.
Personal data is not sold. It is disclosed further only where this is necessary to handle an enquiry or provide a requested service, where a legal obligation applies, or where the person concerned has consented.
Retention
Contact enquiries are retained for as long as necessary to process them and for reasonable follow-up. If an enquiry results in an engagement or contract, the relevant records may be retained for longer in accordance with contractual and statutory retention duties.
Server logs are deleted in accordance with the hosting provider’s operational rules once they are no longer required for operation, security and error analysis. The short retention period for submission limiting is described in the section on protection against misuse.
Processing abroad
The web hosting used for this website has its data location in Switzerland. If processing in another country becomes necessary for a requested service in the future, it will take place only in compliance with the applicable data-protection requirements and with appropriate safeguards where required.
Rights of data subjects
Within the scope of applicable data-protection law, individuals may in particular request access to their processed personal data and ask for its correction, deletion or release. Statutory retention duties and overriding legitimate interests remain reserved.
A message to jeremy.laederach@jay-jay.ch is sufficient to exercise these rights. A complaint may also be submitted to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.
Data security and changes
Jay-Jay takes appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the data it processes. The website is transmitted securely using HTTPS. Absolute protection against every risk in data transmission and digital systems cannot nevertheless be guaranteed.
This privacy notice will be updated if the website, the services used or the legal requirements change materially. The version published on this website applies.
